Discharge

• Discharge (Medical Professional): When a medical professional completes their consultation with a patient and the patient is ready to check out, or when the appointment involves more than one medical professional, the patient must then have a consultation with another medical professional.
• Checkout (Administrative): After the patient is reviewed by all medical professionals involved in the appointment, they return to the front desk to pay and finalize the appointment. After this is completed, the patient is checked out.
• Finished Table (Administrative): This table displays all patient appointments that have been completed, indicating the patient has been checked out and can leave.
• Finished Table (Medical Professional): After a medical professional completes their part of a consultation, it will be saved to this table, whether they were the only medical professional on that appointment or when they finalized their part in an appointment with more than one medical professional.

1. When finished, select the Discharge button.
2. Confirm the discharge, which will take you to the Finish Page.
3. The Finish page loads with all the appointments discharged for the day after the Discharge button is selected.
4. On the Finish page, the Status column will display Checkout. This means the patient has to be checked out by the front desk. When the patient is checked out at the front desk, the Status will show as Finalized.

1. When finished, select the Discharge button.
2. Confirm the discharge, which will take you to the Finish Page.
3. Discharge by the First Professional:
   • After the first professional discharges the patient, the Finish page loads with all the appointments the professional discharged for the day after selecting the Discharge button.
   • On the Finish page, the Status column will display Waiting instead of Checkout.
4. Status for Remaining Professionals:
   • On the Check-In/Today page, other professionals will notice the appointment returns to Waiting for the following professional to place it in In Consultation.

In Consultation Status (Check-in/Today page):

• • When one medical professional places the appointment in In Consultation, other professionals who have not yet seen or discharged the patient will also see the appointment in In Consultation.
